wat do u guys think about the fact that vampires are becoming more and more popular when before it was like horror and now u have like: the twilight series vampire diaries moonlight and more that i dont remember the names!
Well, as for me, I think most of what was considered ocult, is now coming to "life" in a new "version", meaning that people are turning their heads to other horizons, feeling the need to have something different, "magic", outside of the commonly monotone society... not only vampires, but also, wicca, witchcraft, and a few other ocult creatures are taking much more attention and with a different look, than before.
I think humanity has always felt atracted by the ocult and unknown...you can find them in literature and theatre also and I'm not talking necessarily about present...so it's not that surprising movies have also used and still use such things...
loool! i looov how everyone went with a deep explanation and ioana comes with her simple xplanation that- to me anyways - makes the more sense!!! hihihihihihi!
i quite agree with Cedric :) ppl, especially me, r being fed up with what's real and what's ordinary ... so we tend to see sth we don't see in real life, something that we don't experience daily. So u'll find some people tending to see vampire movies as vamps have got such air of mystery, fantasy and darkness around them... add to this that the most successful vampire movies r those with a romantic theme lol
lol, in our eastern european folklore... the strigoi in Romania... vucodloc in the slavic mythology... So here you have it... and we can say we invented something, after all.
